Rider Weight (see more...)
Wingate Stables’ horses can accommodate riders up to a weight limit of 200 lbs.
Classes will be held rain or shine so every student should come dressed to ride. If the footing or weather is dangerous; a structured indoor lesson covering an aspect of horsemanship will be substituted. Wingate follows Delaware County Public Schools with weather emergency policies. When Delaware County cancels after – school activities, Wingate cancels all lessons for that day.
Late Arrival (see more...)
Students are expected to arrive 20 minutes before their scheduled appointment. This early arrival time is used for tacking the horse before the riding lesson.
If you do not want to tack the horse prior to riding, please provide 24 hours advance notice to Wingate Stables, so that we can have the horse prepared for your lesson. This service is $20 in addition to normal lesson costs.
Your lesson time starts at the scheduled time, regardless of when you arrive. If you are late, the lesson time is NOT extended. This policy is intended to be fair to all riders. Riders who are on time should not have their lesson times shortened because of another rider's late arrival.
