Hillary Carlson began her riding career at age 6. During her 26 year career, she has accomplished more than the most seasoned event rider could imagine.
Hillary's training sets her apart from most other trainers. She spent several years under the tutelage of Olympian Chris Kappler, as Top Assistant Trainer and Top Rookie Rider. Mr. Kappler assisted in developing Hillary's advanced horsemanship training and riding techniques, molding her into a future Nation's Cup and Grand Prix rider. Here, Hillary was in charge of schooling and flatting 6-8 horses per day. Hillary, under the supervision of Mr. Kappler, was also the rider in charge of VDL Stallion Maserati, riding and schooling him twice a day.
